GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The George Society of Arts has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday, 24 June 2025 at 18:00 at The George Society of Arts Theatre.

The AGM offers an important opportunity for members and stakeholders to reflect on the past year’s achievements, review the society’s financial position, and participate in discussions on key decisions, including the election of the 2025-2027 GSA committee members and the approval of the annual report. 

Proxy and nominations forms for the meeting will be available at the theatre office between 09:00 and 16:00 or on the theatre's website. 

Completed nomination forms can either be emailed to secretary@georgeartstheatre.co.za or handed into the theatre office. Nominations close on 23 June at 12:00.

Chrisma Theron, Chairperson of the George Society of Arts, said:
“We are excited to welcome our members to this year’s AGM. It’s a time to celebrate our progress, strengthen community involvement and look ahead to the future of the arts in George.”

All members in good standing as of the record date are encouraged to attend and take part in the meeting. 

The official agenda and supporting documents will be made available in advance via the Society’s website and at the theatre.
