GEORGE NEWS - A flamenco dance show by Marlise’s School of Spanish Dance, One Night in Spain, goes on at the Market Community Theatre on Friday 15 August at 18:30.
This event features local seasoned ladies mastering the flamenco under Marlise Steenekamp’s expert guidance, marking their final performance before a September tour to Spain.
These dancers hail from Wilderness, George, Reebok, Hartenbos and Mossel Bay. The colourful Spanish dresses, upbeat music and castanets promise to entertain young and old.
Excited about their upcoming tour, Steenekamp says they hope to experience Spanish culture, attend a workshop and watch some shows during their visit.
They will also perform on stage, representing the Garden Route in Spain’s melting pot of culture and cuisines.
Guitarist Ammiël Kelber is the guest performer for the show. Tickets are R150 per person and available on webtickets.
