GEORGE NEWS - The lady residents of the Rosemoor Home for the Aged were spoiled by the Rotary Club of George as part of their Women's Month outreach to the community.
The club partnered with Nikki Jackman from the UPliftment Programme to bring joy and a bit of fun to the residents.
Jackman brought headphones and the residents enjoyed music, chair dancing, laughter medicine and hand massages.
Afterwards the Bramble Hill and George High Interact clubs treated the residents to snacks.
Interact is sponsored by Rotary and is a service club for young people aged 12-18. It focuses on leadership development and fostering a culture of public service, while having fun and making new friends.
Rotary president, Wilhelm van der Vyver, said this was George High Interact Club's first project.
"Both Interact clubs exceeded our expectations and we are proud of the Interacters and their community involvement."
Georgians are invited to partner with Rotary to help expand their impact.
