Rugbytots is the ideal way to introduce rugby to younger age groups in a fun, energetic play setting while helping them develop their physical, psychological and social skills. It offers non-contact sessions for boys and girls between two and seven as well as experience in key aspects of rugby such as running with the ball, finding space, kicking, catching, scoring a try, converting it and much more.
Team work and parent participation make this a unique play programme not to be missed.
Rugbytots was started in the UK in 2006 to fill a gap in the child development sector by using rugby specific skills to aid in the development of young children. The success, popularity and growth of Rugbytots across the world say much for the quality of the programme and coaches. It is therefore no surprise that this established sport is also the fastest growing and most innovative rugby play programme for children aged two to seven.
All rugby tots lead coaches know first aid, are IRB qualified rugby coaches and are checked and cleared by police. Coaches are also trained to a very high standard to ensure that children enjoy their time at Rugbytots in a safe and organised environment.
Classes are currently held on Saturday mornings at the back of the botanical garden next to the tea garden and start at 08:30 for the two to three-and-a-half-year-olds, followed by the three-and-a-half to five-year-olds at 09:00 and the five to seven-year-olds at 10:00.
