Every Founder Student was introduced and given the opportunity to talk to the audience - an example of Rundle College's strategy to teach extended life skills and to enhance the learning experience of their students.
Guest speaker, Dr Keith Arnolds, Academic Literacies Developer at NMMU, shared some disturbing educational facts and figures in South Africa.
It was Dr Arnolds' first exposure to Rundle College and Ron Boon, Chairman of KeNako Academy said Dr Arnold, having taught students from 80 countries in the world, was very impressed by what he had seen at Rundle College. "He accentuated research conducted by Cambridge International which shows that AS and A Level Cambridge education advantages a student in their first year of university and that more Cambridge qualified students complete their undergraduate degree in the required time versus other school education systems."
Boon says 2014 will see Rundle College welcoming many new students with a good mix of boys and girls from all walks of life. The school accepts students from Cambridge Secondary 1 (age 11) through to school leavers. The Rundle College school year starts on 20 January 2014.
