NATIONAL NEWS - Covid-19 preventative measures are about good hygiene. A clean working space is imperative to aid in the fight against Covid-19.
Prevention of the spread of Covid-19 requires good hygiene, including having clean hands and disinfecting frequently touched objects.
High-germ zones in the typical office include your keyboard, mouse, office telephones, printer and tea/coffee stations.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) advises that these areas be disinfected regularly.
Follow these four easy steps to implement good hygiene measures in your working space:
- Disinfect frequently touched spaces,
- Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds,
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a flexed elbow, and
- Avoid touching your face.
The NICD reminds the public that if they are showing symptoms of Covid-19 and have been exposed to the virus they should contact their medical practitioner right away.
