While it is already known that the Terra will ride on the same body-on-frame platform as the Navara, manufacturer Zhengzhou Nissan has confirmed that it will measure 4 882 mm in overall length, have a wheelbase of 2 850 mm, height of 1 835 mm and width of 1 850 mm with a ground clearance of 220 mm.
In terms of spec, the Terra will feature 18-inch alloy wheels, daytime running LEDs, dual-zone climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system and the option of five or seven seats.
Contrary to previous reports, power for the Terra will come from a 2.4-litre petrol engine developing 135 kW, mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox. Some models will also have the option of selectable four-wheel drive.
Slated to make its world debut on April 12th, Nissan has still to confirm whether the Terra would be offered in right-hand drive, and if it will keep its Chinese market name or revive monikers from Nissan's past like Xterra, Terrano or indeed serve as a replacement for the unibody Pathfinder sold in North America and Australia.
