Posted by the Automotive Mike YouTube page and obtained by motor1.com, the prototype version of what was previously known as the A32/A36 looks no more different than the model spied some two months ago, aside from new alloy wheels, absence of the previously heavy exterior disguise and prominent dual exhausts.
As earlier stated, the A35 will be offered in both hatchback and sedan guises, with power from the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine expected to be around the 224kW mark versus the A45’s much rumoured 400 PS or 298kW output. Speculation is that the mill could feature a 48-volt hybrid setup similar to AMG’s 53-line of models, with 4Matic all-wheel drive likely to be standard.
Expect more details to emerge in the run-up to the A35’s rumoured Paris reveal.
