GEORGE NEWS - Thembalethu detectives are looking for the relatives of Nkosikhona Velem, who was born on 10 October 1996.
Velem was admitted to the George provincial hospital on 10 May with burn wounds to his upper body. He passed away the following day.
According to Thembalethu police communications officer, Capt Dumile Gwavu, it is alleged that the deceased was burnt with petrol and plastic by community members in Zone 9.
“The reason for the burning is not known at this stage. We have gone around to try and find out where he lived, but nobody knows his family. The body is kept at George Forensics Pathology,” said Gwavu.
