GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - At the U3A's monthly meeting on Friday 17 November, Mark Dixon will deliver a lecture entitled 'Knysna fires: Five factors that produced the perfect inferno, and planning for the future'.
Dixon has a degree in livestock science and a masters degree in ichthyology and fisheries science, and has been operating a guided nature walk and birding business in the Garden Route for the past 13 years.
He has documented the fires on video and he will discuss how wildfires have changed over the years and what we can expect in the future.
Visitors are also welcome to come and listen to this popular speaker at Emmaüs in Memorium Street, George at 10:30.
