GEORGE NEWS - The Thembalethu police is looking for assistance from the public to trace the next of kin of a pedestrian who died after he was hit by a vehicle on the N2 highway near the turn-off to Thembalethu at approximately 15:30 on Saturday 3 July.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the man (a coloured male in his early thirties), was crossing the highway when he was hit by a Mercedes-Benz that was en route to Mossel Bay.
The victim sustained multiple injuries. He was later declared dead by medical personnel on the scene.
The victim was dressed in a grey tracksuit at the time of the incident.
