GEORGE NEWS - Idinga editor Zolani Sinxo delivered the keynote address at the prize-giving ceremony of his former school, Mzoxolo Primary, on Monday 13 December.
This annual ceremony was organised by the school to award learners who have excelled academically throughout the year. The event was graced by the presence of parents, teachers and former learners, who enjoyed the musical entertainment provided by groups from the school.
Sinxo praised teachers for their role in ensuring that primary school learners receive the best foundation for their academic careers.
"We must respect our teachers and appreciate the knowledge they pass on to us. They are the reason we have doctors and all other people that work hard to develop our nation. Parents must work with teachers to ensure that we create a conducive environment for the academic development of our kids," said Sinxo.
Mzoxolo's traditional dace group perform on stage.
