WESTERN CAPE NEWS - According to a media statement by premier Alan Winde earlier today, as of 13:00 on 22 January, the Western Cape has 25 278 active Covid-19 infections with a total of 260 389 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 225 453 recoveries.

- Total active cases (currently infected patients) - 25 278
- Tests conducted - 1 186 998
- Hospitalisations - 3 178 with 519 of these in ICU or high care
