GEORGE NEWS - The launch of the Cansa Relay for Life George 2019 took place on Saturday 18 August at the Garden Route Mall.
The twelfth Cansa Relay For Life will be held on 23 February 2019 at the Carpe Diem sport grounds.
The theme for the relay is "Cansa Carnival". It is expected that the field will be an array of colour as each team depicts the fight against a different form of cancer, giving hope to every cancer survivor.
Having had numerous successful Relays For life in George, the organisers will strive to take their fundraiser to the next level in 2019.
This is a fundraiser for Cansa, and the team appeals to residents' goodwill and understanding as the event will provide all-night entertainment to encourage participants to bring home the message that cancer never sleeps.

Cancer Relay For Life is part of an international movement that unites cancer survivors and the communities that care for them. It offers everyone in the community the opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer and to remember those who have been touched by cancer.
