GEORGE NEWS - The George Municipality reported last week that the final asphalt layer was placed in Caledon Street on Tuesday 23 July.
According to communications chief Chantel Edwards-Klose, control tests are to be done again.
"Once it can be confirmed that the results of the tests have been accepted and approved by the engineer, the contractor can apply in terms of the general conditions of the contract for a practical completion inspection, and a list of the final snags that is attached to the practical completion certificate.
"The final completion date is dependent on the completion of all the snags."
