Pierre de Klerk, winemaker at Graham Beck wines entertained guests by explaining how the exquisite Graham Beck wines are brewed to perfection.
Award winning chef and owner of Kafe Serefé, Helgé van Rensburg, prepared seven mouthwatering courses, each of which was complimented by one of Graham Beck's wines.
Guests started off the evening with the Graham Beck Brut Rose NV as a welcoming drink, which was served with very tasty canapés. The starters consisted of Mediterranean bean, Mozarella & pomegranate salad with a shallot & parsley dressing, complimented by The Game Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. A first course of Imam Bayildi was rounded off by The Game Reserve Shiraz.
The mouthwatering main course of slow cooked lamb shank in tomato and red wine sauce, served with coriander mashed potato and seasonal vegetables was surely the highlight of the evening and Graham Beck The William was the perfect companion. With dessert to come, guests looked forward to another great taste sensation and the classic baklava with honey & tahini ganache rolled in sesame seeds blissfully paired with Graham Beck Bliss Demi Sec NV. Kafe Serefé's famous coffee was the perfect way to round off another most enjoyable and entertaining Food and Wine Paring evening.
All wines served were from Kafe Serefé's wine list.
