Update
GEORGE NEWS - Electrical teams have made more progress in restoring electricity supply to areas affected by recent outages during the night.
The following areas have been restored:
- Dormehlsdrift
- New Dawn Park (with the exception of three houses in Bougainvillea Street)
- All Brick
- The entire Zone 8 area
- Zone 9
- France
- Kanna Street
- Protea Park
- Baily Street
- Plaatjies Street
- Stuurman Street
- Grower Street
- Leen Street, Lavalia
In Primrose, approximately three-quarters of the area remains without electricity. Two electricity poles were damaged, and part of the bundled conductor line was stolen. Repair work is underway, and teams are working to restore supply as soon as possible.
In France, one section of bundled conductor remains disconnected at the corner of Nqwemeshe Street.
This repair will be completed during the course of the day.
