GEORGE NEWS - Residents and businesses in Beukes Street, Pacaltsdorp, are advised of a planned water outage on Tuesday, 15 July, from 08:00 to 17:00. This outage is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction work for the installation of a new 110mm water pipeline.
This forms part of an infrastructure improvement project by George Municipality, which began on 26 May 2025 and is scheduled for completion by 18 July.
During this period, there may be temporary disruptions to municipal water services in the surrounding areas. Every effort will be made to inform affected residents and businesses of any interruptions in advance through the municipality’s official communication channels, including social media and the website.
A backup date of Wednesday, 16 July, from 08:00 to 17:00, has been scheduled in the event of unforeseen circumstances that may delay the planned work.
Motorists and pedestrians in Beukes Street and adjacent areas are advised to exercise caution during the construction period.
