Heartfelt gratitude to the management of George Hospital

Cllr TE Lento of Ward 9 writes:

Dear Dr Agulhus, I'm writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care and support you provided to my brother when his shack was destroyed in a fire. Your dedication and professionalism during that difficult time were truly remarkable.

You went above and beyond by cleaning his wounds, stitching his left shoulder and feet, and ensuring he received the care he needed.

I also want to appreciate the extra time you took to see him through, finishing your duties after 09:00, even though you were supposed to hand over to another doctor at 07:00. Your kindness and compassion made a huge difference, and we're forever grateful for your help.

I also want to extend my thanks to the management of George Hospital for ensuring that my brother received the medical attention he needed.

However, I was extremely disappointed with the ambulance service. We called for an ambulance at 03:00 on 2 April 2026. They eventually took my brother to George Hospital. The shortage of ambulances in George is totally unacceptable, and having only three ambulances for the City of George is an embarrassment to the management of George Hospital.

Please accept my sincere appreciation for all that you did for my brother. Your selflessness and commitment to your work are truly inspiring.

Thank you again for your outstanding work.
