A number of local comedians who saw Russell Brand’s Trew World Order tour at Montecasino, shared what they thought of his performance.
Not all of it was praise.

Hastie claims to have read all of Brand's books and is fully devoted to him.“I am just struggling to breathe right now because I am his biggest fan. He is so authentic. I have read his books, he is amazing,” she said after missing out on an opportunity to meet and greet her hero.
What’ clever about his comedy is that he takes a p**s out of himself and he is authentic about that. It’s something that I relate to and its’ something that I find endearing when you can poke fun at yourself; especially when you are in a position of power.”

However, not all the reviews were full of praise. Areff was not won over by the often controversial entertainer.
