GEORGE NEWS - Seven masters swimmers from the Fish Eagles masters club will be attending the SA masters swimming championships in Pretoria this week.
Their ages range from 35 years to 76 years. Unfortunately, two of their great swimming stars, Loy Park (87) and Alan Dando (83), will not be joining them.
The competition started on Wednesday with the 800m freestyle in which Pippy Bishop, Judy Dixon and Lanie Farrelly will compete.
The championships ends with the 1km and 3km open water swim on Sunday.
Also part of the Fish Eagles team are Tanya Osborne, Moneque Roos, Mike Macdonald and newcomer, sprinter specialist Andre Weidman.
