RUGBY NEWS - The Cheetahs continued with their impressive form in the PRO14 when they secured a deserved 29-17 victory over the Dragons at Rodney Parade at the weekend.
Sibhale Maxwane led the way for the Cheetahs as he scored a brace of tries and the Bloemfontein-based outfit's other points came via further tries from Fred Zeilinga and Clayton Blommetjies as well as two conversions and a penalty from Niel Marais.
Elsewhere, South Africa's other PRO14 team, the Southern Kings, suffered a narrow 36-35 defeat to Benetton at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. For the Kings, Luzuko Vulindlu, Godlen Masimla, Ruaan Lerm, Berton Klaasen crossed the whitewash and they were also awarded a penalty try. Their other points came courtesy of two conversions apiece from Kurt Coleman and Masixole Banda.
