The competition will take place on Louvain, 55km from George on the Uniondale road and starts at 08:00. Entries and registration close at 10:00. The last relay will take place at 15:00 with a prize giving function and dinner to follow.
Safari & Outdoor gift vouchers and prizes to the value of R15 000 are to be won in various categories (juniors, women, veterans, etc) and all participants will automatically be entered into the lucky draw for a Savage Axis Rifle.
Apart from the standard competition there will also be a long range shooting competition (500m - 900m) with a prize valued at R7 000. In addition, all participants will receive a cap signed by David Tubb.
David Tubb is arguably the best and most competitive rifleman in history. He has won a record eleven US NRA National High Power Rifle Championship titles at Camp Perry, Ohio. In addition, he is an NRA Silhouette Rifle legend having won nearly thirty open, individual National Championship titles in all four rifle categories.
Tubb also won seven Sportsmen's Team Challenge Championships along with six NRA Long Range Rifle National Championships, including his latest win in 2011 during which he also won his second Wimbledon Cup.
Trophies aside, David's biggest contribution to shooting sports is his innovative mind. This has led to the development of the 6mmXC cartridge and the Tubb 2000 rifle.
