GEORGE NEWS - With boxing becoming increasingly popular in our region, Sobhuza Boxing Club held its first promotional tournament last Saturday, 11 May, at the Zone 9 Community Hall in Thembalethu.
Sobhuza was the best club at the tournament, taking most of the medals.
Other clubs taking part were Phakamisa Boxing Club from Knysna, Sinethemba Boxing Club from Knysna, Bongolethu Boxing Club from Oudtshoorn, Garden Route Boxing Club from Mossel Bay and Divinus Boxing Club from George.
Sobhuza Boxing Club aims to help keep kids off the streets and to instil discipline in its members, both in and out of the ring.
