GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Kurland at Plettenberg Bay hosted the SA Eventing Championships for a third time since 2016 and this year Linda Squair of George and her two daughters, Pippa and Rosslyn, made their presence felt strongly with fine performances in the various categories.
SA Eventing champs is run at the highest level of Eventing in South Africa and is a CCI 2 star class.
Heidi Kilshe Caine from Kwazulu Natal, who rode for South Africa at the World Equestrian Games in 2010, won on Mbelelo. Douglas Welsh, who hails from the same province and also represented SA at the World Equestrian Games in 2010, was second on Forecastle. Linda Squair on Danzig's Spirit, from Burnside Equestrian Academy outside Blanco, took a third place.

Pippa and Rosslyn Squair competed in the lower levels and gained valuable experience on their ponies. Rosslyn competed in the Girl Pony Eventing EV70 category on Tatoonie Glamour with her elder sister Pippa riding on Kilshane Moyne in the Pony Eventing EV80 class.
