GEORGE NEWS - Three learners of Outeniqua High School took part at the first Eden South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa) qualifier of the year at George Riding Club from 2 to 5 February.
There are four qualifiers during the year, whereafter a team will be selected to compete in Stellenbosch at the Sanesa regional championships.
The team selected at regionals will represent Western Cape Sanesa at national championships in Gauteng later this year.
Sanesa allows learners to compete on behalf of their schools/ home schools and enjoy the precious bond between horse and rider.
Pippa Squair (Grade 10) on Kilshane Tipperary, qualified first in seven classes, two in elementary dressage, two in show jumping 110cm, open working hunter, open working riding and open equitation.
Eldine Grobler (Grade 10) on Choice Wood qualified first in horse class 80cm in the disciplines show jumping, dressage, equitation and working hunter.
