GEORGE NEWS - Three York High learners, Zeke Hougaard (vice-captain ), Ozair Pillai and Matt Raymer, were selected to represent the Western Cape team at the SA Schools Winter Games in Durban from 1 to 5 July.
WC played six games and won the semi-finals with a whopping score of 12-0. The finals against KZN ended 1-1 and WC won gold with two final shoot-out goals by Zeke and Ozair.
The four boys have been playing hockey together since Grade 1 at Holy Cross and Lerou Ditihakanayane is now at school in Durban and captained the KZN side.
