GEORGE NEWS - The George Riding Club (GRC) is abuzz this weekend, 7 to 9 February, with learners from Paarl to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay who have entered for a riding show presented by the club in collaboration with the South African National Equestrian Schools Association.
It is a multi-disciplinary show for school children to test riders in dressage, showing, equitation, and show jumping.
A total of 332 entries for school colours judging has been received and there are 106 graded entries where the riders are judged to score points for a chance to be selected for provincial and national teams.
It's a huge organisational effort with officials from the Eastern and Western Cape involved.
The public is welcome to attend the show to support the young riders who are displaying great talent. Enjoy a meal and refreshments at the club restaurant.
