SPORT NEWS - The George Riding Club displayed its excellence as a premier equestrian venue, hosting the National Adult Eventing Show from 1 to 3 November.
This event attracted 106 competitors from across South Africa, including participants from as far as Swaziland and the Natal Midland.
Eventing is celebrated as the only sport worldwide where men and women compete equally at all levels, and age is no barrier.

This inclusiveness was highlighted by the presence of a father-daughter duo competing in the elite 3 Star International Class.
Paige de Rooy riding pretty in pink on her horse Silver Streamer. She placed first in the 1 Star National Class division and finished second overall in the Adult Eventing Championship.
The event was conducted to Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) standards. Technical delegate Sarah Verney praised the George Riding Club's facilities, saying the club's showgrounds, jumps, and the professionalism with which the event was managed "are on par with competitions in Europe".
Discovery, the title sponsor, enhanced the event's profile and prize offerings, adding to the excitement for competitors and spectators.
