HOCKEY NEWS - Various young hockey teams from the Southern Cape competed in the national indoor hockey tournament in Cape Town and three of the teams have returned with medals.
The Southern Cape indoor hockey franchise, the Sables, said that it is proud of the u.13 girls, who won a silver medal in the Plate Competition, the u.16B boys who won bronze and the u.18 girls team that also won bronze.
Ethan Raubenheimer was selected as Player of the Tournament for the u.16 boys B-section.
Team awards in the different age groups were won by u.12 boys, u.12 girls, u.14 girls, u.16A and B boys and u.16A and B girls teams.
