NETBALL NEWS - The Van Riebeeck Stadium Netball Courts in Mossel Bay came alive on Saturday 6 September, as the Eden Netball Federation Playoffs brought together the district’s finest netball talent for a day of high-intensity action and community spirit.
Clubs from across the Eden region descended on the coastal town, where supporters lined the courts and cheered loudly for their favourites.
The playoffs, one of the highlights on the Eden Netball calendar, not only showcased top-class performances but also reinforced the strong sense of camaraderie and regional pride.
Results:
A division
The A Division saw Divas dominate, with both Divas A1 and A2 securing wins in their playoff and semi-final matches.
Playoffs: Divas A1 beat Evergreens A (28–19); Divas A2 beat Blues (35–29); Royal Crusaders A outplayed Titans Academy (34–22).
Semi-finals: Divas A1 overcame Royal Crusaders (36–29), while Divas A2 edged out Kranshoek Dolphins (35–30).
Finals in sight
Netball fans now turn their attention to the much-anticipated finals, set for Saturday, 20 September, again at Van Riebeeck Stadium. Matches begin at 13:00, with divisions across the board competing for gold, silver, and bronze.

The Eden Netball Federation has invited the public to come out in full support of their local teams. With the region’s best players battling it out for championship glory, the finals promise not only thrilling contests on court but also a festive atmosphere celebrating community sport at its best.
