GEORGE NEWS - Six dedicated students of the Karate-Zen George Dojo were proudly selected to represent the Eden Karate Federation at the prestigious Karate Association Western Cape's (KAWC) Development Championships held in Cape Town last weekend.

Facing tough competition from across the province, the team delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home a remarkable 12 medals, with each student earning two. 

The final tally: six gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

The dojo's Jurie van Wyngaard congratu-lated the entire team on this achievement, and appreciated Eden Karate's head coach, Sensei Mareon Ferndale, for his guidance and mentorship.

"Gratitude is also extended to the KAWC for hosting such a well-organised and inspiring championship, and for their continued support of the development of karate in the region. 

"The team were also honoured that Western Cape President Shihan John Daniels joined them for a photo following the event," he said.
