GARDEN ROUTE BOXING NEWS - The cream of the crop in the local boxing scene represented Eden at the Western Cape Provincial Boxing Championships, which was held at the Ottery Vibrant Studios in Cape Town last weekend, 28 to 30 May. The young boxers displayed great talent, bringing home twelve medals.
Eden Region Boxing president Nkosikho Makhalima said it was "not an easy road" for the boxers, who had to overcome many obstacles to get this far.
"As we all know, sport is the only vehicle or tool that can take away our kids from the street corners and away from anti-social activities, drugs and alcohol abuse," he said.
Makhalima urged parents to support their children in any sport activities.
