EDEN DISTRICT NEWS - Swimmers from Eden Aquatics travelled to Port Elizabeth to compete at the annual interprovincial gala.
The 47 Eden swimmers competed against three other districts: Nelson Mandela Bay, Buffalo City and Cape Town Metro.
This is the only event where Eden swimmers can obtain their district colours.
Eden swimmers performed at their best and won 59 medals in total. For the second year in a row, Eden won the trophy for the team with the best spirit at the gala.
Next year will be this event's 10th anniversary, hosted by Buffalo City Aquatics in East London.
The president of Swimming South Africa, Alan Fritz, attended the gala and voiced his approval of the high quality of the competitors.
