GEORGE GOLF NEWS - The Garden Route Ladies Circle no 20 is having their annual golf day on 19 September at the George Golf Club with Round Table 30.
It is an important fund-raising event for their community projects.
Spokesperson Elizabeth Theron says with with more funds they will be able to help and serve more people, and they are therefore appealing to local businesses and individuals to come forward as sponsors.
The public can help as follows:
Option 1:
Through donations. People can register to play golf on the day. The fee is R1 600 for a 4-ball - it includes the greens fee and a light meal. Golf carts are not included but are available on a first come first serve basis on the day.
Option 2:
They need sponsors for tee boxes and wet holes on the day. Should you decide to take one, it costs R1 500 per hole. Food or drink given to the players must be free of charge. A 4-ball and tee together cost R2 500.
Option 3:
Cash prizes, golfing equipment and vouchers are needed for Closest to the Pin or Longest Drive.
Option 4:
Lucky draw prizes for individuals, and prizes of 4 people per team are also needed.
