GEORGE - George United Football Club’s highly successful league has now been running uninterrupted for three years and has grown with 500 children from every corner of George taking part.
The white Afrikaans population of George is now the biggest growth area of the GUFC and three youths from the club have been playing with the under 19 Western Province development squad in Cape Town.
The results of Saturday’s league matches are:
Under 12:
Seven Stars 2, Eagles 1; Saints 0, Leopards 3; Falcons 1, Hunters 1; Lions 0, Vipers 2; New George 0, Rosemore 3.
Under 15:
Saints 0, Smartspace 3; Rovers 4, Eden1; Phoenix 2, Seven Stars 5; Eagles 8 Falcons.
Under 17:
TouWsranten 0, Evergreens 8; DR George 2, OOAM 0; Seven Stars 0, Life Community Svs 2.
This coming weekend (Saturday) the GUFC will be running a free training clinic from 08:30 till 13:00.
