SOCCER NEWS - The Thembalethu-based Paris United FC earned some respect in the Bongani Dyani Soccer Tournament when they defeated FC United from Knysna 4-2 in a thrilling third-place encounter at Smutsville Stadium in Sedgefield on 5 October.
Liyema Tukwayo of Paris United delivered a stellar performance throughout the game, scoring two beautiful goals.

FC United put in a strong effort to level the score, but could not manage to break through Paris United's stubborn backline.
However, FC United came back into the game just before the half-time whistle, pulling off two goals to level the score on 2-2.
The second half saw Paris United looked very strong on the ball, while FC United were forced into defensive play by the Paris United wingers' sustained attack.
Gaining more opportunities on the ball using their pace, the Thembalethu side ensured some more chances inside the box and scored another two crucial goals to add up to their 4-2 winning score.
Paris United took home the third prize of R4 000 cash, while FC United received the fourth-place prize of R2 000.
