GEORGE CRICKET NEWS - Langenhoven Gymnasium in Oudtshoorn dominated schools cricket in the province by winning the u.19 Super League and the Twenty20 titles.
Outeniqua High won the u.15 title for the third consecutive year while their u.19B side was victorious in the u.19 Promotion League.
Sentraal High School from Beaufort West won the u.15 Promotion League.
Langenhoven Gymnasium retained the title as Schools T20 champion after they successfully defended their title with a four-wicket victory against Outeniqua.
The versatile Zander Nel from Outeniqua High shined with both bat and ball, scoring the most runs in the u.15 Super League (212 runs) and claiming the most wickets (21) with a best bowling analysis of 5/13 as the top bowler in the league.
Three SWD u.19 players, Heath Richards (Glenwood House), Tyrece Karelse (Protea High) and Jhedli van Briesies (Langenhoven Gymnasium) made their provincial first-class debut whilst still at school.
Due to the cancellation of the Momentum u.13 national tournament and CSA girls u.19 national tournament because of continued rain, no boys u.13 or girls u.19 cricketer of the season was selected.
