GEORGE NEWS - A century by SWD batting hero Obus Pienaar (130) was the highlight of the past weekend's SWD Premier League action.
Pienaar and Pieter Stuurman (49) had a 173 runs partnership (from 127 balls) that enabled Union Stars to post a massive 339/6 against Harlequins.
Harlequins was dismissed for only 97 as Union Stars recorded a comprehensive 242 runs bonus point victory.
The defending champions have now secured a direct place in the final as they will finish top of the log.
Mossel Bay (149 all out) was too strong for Pirates United (105 all out) and won by 44 runs. Christo van Schalkwyk bagged 5/27 for Mossel Bay.
Neil Hornbuckle (60) was again impressive for Pacaltsdorp United (220/7) in their victory of 51 runs against Western Hope.
The rest of the scheduled fixtures were abandoned due to rain and each team will receive two points on the log.
