ATHLETICS NEWS - A perfect blend of sun, smiles and sporting spirit marked the Eden Modern Pentathlon Association’s (Eden MPA) latest biathle and triathle event on Sunday 6 April.
Athletes of all ages and skill levels gathered to test their mettle in these dynamic and demanding multisport disciplines.
The day was packed with action as participants tackled the combined challenges of swimming and running in the biathle, and added laser precision shooting in the triathle.
Far from being just another race day, the event struck a winning balance between competitive edge and family fun, from dads and daughters sprinting neck and neck to siblings pushing each other beyond their limits.
Events like these are more than just local highlights - they are vital stepping stones for those aiming to compete at the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) World Championships in Mossel Bay this December.
The UIPM is the international modern pentathlon union. It’s the global governing body for all modern pentathlon disciplines.
