NATIONAL NEWS - Newly appointed National Police Commissioner General Khehla Sitole says that one of his main priorities will be to create a united team of men and women in blue.
Sitole was officially appointed after accepting the Sword of Command in Pretoria on Monday at a ceremony officiated by Police Minister Fikile Mbalula.
He is the first permanent appointment to this position since Riah Phiyega was suspended in October 2015.
Sitole, who joined the police service in 1986, says he wants to rebuild public confidence in the police.
