Johannesburg Zoo workers call off strike
Staff at the Johannesburg Zoo have called off their strike and are back at work today.
NATIONAL NEWS - Staff at the Johannesburg Zoo have called off their strike and are back at work today.

The unprotected strike over salary grading and progression forced the Zoo to close its doors on Friday, after some staff took part in an unprotected strike.

Johannesburg City Parks spokesperson, Jenny Moodley, says management is in talks with labour representatives and is negotiating through the bargaining council.

“We now have the full contingent of employees at the Zoo and operations resumed and it’s business as usual at the Zoo.”
