According to the resident, a large number of robbers were unloading cellphones, allegedly to the value of R4-million, from a truck that was robbed at gunpoint near Kanye Vimba Trading in Plumbago Business Park and Plumbago Logistics Park, on June 10.
As the father and daughter approached the four-way intersection at the John Deere factory at the back of Glen Eagle Estate, close to the business park, at around 11:45am he saw heavily armed men and realised too late what was going on.
While he was informing Kempton Park SAPS on his phone, the men spotted him and gave chase in a white A-class Mercedes, while firing shots at his Toyota Hilux bakkie.
