Serving as a replacement for the long since discontinued Tribeca, the Ascent will more than likely derive some of its styling from the concept of the same name shown at the New York Auto Show in April this year, and ride on Subaru's new Global Platform shared with the XV and Impreza.
To be build alongside the Impreza at Subaru's Lafayette Plant in Indiana, the Ascent will rival the likes of the Chevrolet Traverse / GMC Acadia, Volkswagen Atlas, Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota Highlander in the States, with no indication of engines having yet been made.
More details are likely emerge in the following weeks leading up to its unveiling.
