Similar to the production model captured earlier this month, the newest depictions by motor1.com sees the 992 again only featuring masking on the front spoiler and on the head and taillights, while retaining the same silhouette and seemingly identical overall look as the 991.2.
Viewed from the front, the 992 receives a new front bumper, grille and redesigned bootlid, while the rear incorporates the biggest changes in the form of the full-length, thin stripe LED light like on the Panamera, a new number plate recess between the exhaust outlets and larger cooling vents.
Based on the sightings of two variants by the online publication, the blue 992 appears to be a lower spec model as indicated by the twin exhausts, while the red variant could be the S as it receives a quad exhaust layout and alleged 21-inch alloy wheels with a somewhat oddly looking rear wiper, more masking on the lights and a gloss black diffuser.
Specification is largely speculative though, with claims of the 992 retaining the Turbo, GT2 and GT3 monikers, along with the option of a hybrid that will combine the existing 3.0-litre turbocharged flat-six with a an 100kW electric motor for the same 340kW/700Nm output as the Cayenne E-Hybrid.
More details are expected to emerge leading up to Paris or indeed Los Angeles.
