The event at Willowbridge on 15^th April  was the Northern Suburbs leg of the series.  Heinrich Annandale Marketing Manager at Willowbridge said, ‘ It was an unique event and being a petrol head myself it was great seeing all these different cars in one place.

The Autodealer.co.za  Women's Choice Awards took place on Wednesday 15^th April at the Willowbridge Mall Tygervalley 9am – 12:30pm  The event  was an exciting day out in spite of the persistent rain and featured the Northern Suburbs  influential women putting  different hatchback car through their paces.

It is a well-known fact that women these days have a hefty sway in what car will grace the family garage?  Gone are the days of offering feminine flourishes to impress.  Tactics like trying to lure the female buyer with hot pink paint jobs and exterior embellishments, offering special interior carpets to protect high heels or designing the perfect stowage place for mascara tubes.  Autodealer.co.za research shows that more than ever before, women are armed-and-dangerous when on the prowl for their next car purchase.  They are educated on brands and specifications, they are well-researched with regards to price, engine specs, in-car technologies as well as Euro NCAP safety ratings.

Putting ladies in the driving seat
Throughout the course of the day, the women judges, who've were pre-selected from all walks of life, careers and industries scored and recorded their real-life comments and opinions about the featured cars.  The cars were driven over a short distance (5km) by each judge and then, upon their return, a questionnaire filled out.  The totals were calculated and categorised, with the purpose being to provide feedback.  Dealerships and manufacturers will benefit from valuable insight into what a feminine cross-section of the community thinks and feels about their products.

The dealership's brand ambassadors and sales people were  on hand offering guidance and highlighting the vehicle's attributes; and they too were be 'scored' by our women judges on their skills and product knowledge.

New cars from Suzuki Tygervalley, Barloworld Toyota Tygervalley, Honda Tygerberg, Renault Tygerberg,  Imperial Fiat Kuilsriver, Datsun and Nissan Parow were on display at the Autodealer.co.za Women's Choice Awards.  Members of the public were also able to get up close and personal, doing walk-arounds and interior inspections with each model and make that they desire. It was an ideal event to check out the different manufacturers offerings all in one place.
