Until now reversed for Indian-spec models, the three-pot slots-in below the 1.5 TDCi Ambiente as the new entry-level EcoSport offering, with the outputs of 91kW/150Nm. Up three kilowatts on the mill powering the Figo, drive is once again routed to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
Kept unchanged is the spec level, which includes a six-speaker sound system, a 4.2-inch static colour display, SYNC 1, Voice Control, Bluetooth and dual USB ports, 16-inch steel wheels, electric windows all around, heated electric mirrors, body coloured bumpers, six airbags, ABS with EBS and ESC, auto locking doors, follow-me-home headlights and rear parking sensors.
As with the rest of the EcoSport range, the petrol Ambiente comes as standard with a four year/120 000km warranty and a four year/60 000km service plan.
