Last month, Britain’s Autocar claimed that the two-door Giulia could revive the GT name last used in 2004 and that it will be offered with a hybrid powertrain for both the 2.0-litre turbocharged Veloce model and the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 powering in the Quadrifoglio Verde (QV).
According to a new report, outgoing Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) CEO Sergio Marchionne will table the new releases, including the new SUV that will slot in above the Stelvio.
While the Giulia Coupe is expected to feature both the hybrid and conventional petrol and diesel engines, the yet as unnamed SUV will be offered as a hybrid only, feature seven seats and share the same platform as the Stelvio albeit with a 200 kg weight gain. Like the Giulia Coupe, production of the SUV is slated for 2019.
