GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - According to Severe Weather and Information Centre South Africa (SWAICSA) a cold front is expected to make landfall at the Cape of Storms on Saturday morning, 7 June, with another one possibly making landfall late Saturday night/ early Sunday morning.
These systems will be accompanied by a steep upper air trough and followed by a strong (ridging) high.
The combination of these 3 systems is expected to bring adverse weather conditions (rain, winds, rough seas, very cold, snow) to large parts of South Africa from Saturday into Sunday.
Southern Namibia can also be affected by isolated showers and cold conditions on Sunday, with cold conditions spreading to central Namibia and western Botswana on Monday.
