GEORGE NEWS - If you thought the 2023 excitement surrounding the George Herald Best of George came to an end with the much-anticipated announcement of the category winners at the end of August, you are in for a pleasant surprise.
George Business Chamber and George Herald are proud to announce that in the next month, Georgians will vote for their 'ultimate favourite of all the Best of George winners to find the VERY BEST of Best of George!
Each of the 108 Best of George category winners is a nominee in the prestigious 2023 George Business Chamber Gala Awards hunt for the top local business.
This year the winner will be selected by popular choice, as the enterprise that receives the most online votes from our readers will be crowned the VERY BEST of Best of George at the GBC Gala Awards evening on 24 November.

How to vote
Voting for the VERY BEST of Best of George will take place on www.georgechamber.co.za and details of the voting process and dates will appear on www.georgherald.com shortly.
It will also be published in next week's George Herald along with details of how a business can become a listed sponsor of the event by decorating one of the 15 tables! It won't cost you a penny - just your time and creativity.

Residents are invited to nominate finalists for the other highly sought-after 2023 George Business Chamber Gala Awards listed below. You only have two weeks to nominate finalists, so don't delay - nominate an inspiring business or business leader before 5 November.
- GBC Entrepreneur of the year - Businesses/Individuals who are creating new, sustainable opportunities and playing a positive part in the greater community of George
- GBC Service Ambassador of the year - Businesses/Individuals renowned for providing and encouraging exceptional service (Walk the talk)
- GBC Innovator of the year - Businesses/Individuals whose revolutionary new ideas/products are unique in their marketplace (Game changers)
- GBC Business Leader of the year - The businessperson who has had a profound impact on the economy of George in the past year, showing not only great leadership abilities, but also exceptional growth and a positive contribution to the greater community of George
How to nominate
The form will be available on the George Business Chamber's web-site, www.georgechamber.co.za as of this Friday, 20 October. It must be completed, and the nominee will be notified to respond with a CV and motivation/citation.
Please note: Nominees do NOT have to be George Business Chamber members.
